Central Plains Severe

Severe weather is possible today for parts of the Central Plains. An Enhanced Risk includes Kansas City, MO and Overland Park, Kansas City and Topeka, KS.

All modes of severe weather are possible with any storms that develop today and tonight. The SPC warns of the possibility of “destructive hail, severe wind, and a few tornadoes.”

The greatest threat for tornadoes stretches from far southeastern Nebraska and far northeastern Kansas into northern Missouri.
