Zeta to Impact Gulf Coast
Tropical Storm Zeta is expected to strengthen into a hurricane once again today as it moves into the central Gulf of Mexico.
Hurricane conditions are expected by late Wednesday in the Hurricane Warning area along the Gulf Coast. The Hurricane Warning stretches from Morgan City, La to the Mississippi/Alabama border. This includes Lake Pontchartrain, Lake Maurepas and the New Orleans metro area. A life-threatening storm surge is possible in these locations.
Gusty winds, heavy rainfall, flooding, and a few tornadoes will all be possible along parts of the Gulf Coast starting late Wednesday.
