Dorian to Impact Puerto Rico Today
Tropical Storm Dorian will impact Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands today. Dorian will bring heavy rainfall and maximum winds of 60 mph.
Dorian will continue to track to the north northwest over the coming days. While some weakening is possible as the storm passes over/near Puerto Rico, strengthening is expected later this week.
Currently, Dorian is forecast to reach hurricane strength sometime early Friday. The forecast track then takes a more westerly turn towards Florida.
Florida’s eastern coast needs to keep a very close eye on Dorian as the cone of uncertainty brings the forecast hurricane near the state’s coast late Sunday night into Monday morning.
