Northern Enhanced Risks
The SPC has highlighted two Enhanced Risk areas today: one across northern Montana and one in the Upper Midwest.
The first risk area includes Great Falls and Glasgow, MT while the second risk area includes the Twin Cities and Rochester, MN and La Crosse and Madison, WI.
Storms that develop in northern Montana have the potential to produce large hail, strong winds, and even an isolated tornado. The main threat with today’s storms in parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin will be damaging wind gusts.
