Mid Atlantic Severe Threat

There is a Slight Risk of severe weather today in parts of the Mid Atlantic including Raleigh and Charlotte, NC and and Columbia and Charleston, SC.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop later this afternoon and evening as a cold front moves through the region. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes.

Other areas along the eastern seaboard could also see some isolated severe weather. Storms with gusty winds will be possible from southern Pennsylvania and New Jersey through northern Florida.
