Moderate Risk in Texas
There is a Moderate Risk for severe weather later this afternoon and into the overnight hours in northwest Texas. This includes Lubbock, Abilene, Big Spring, Plainview, and Levelland, TX.
Very large hail and a few tornadoes are the primary concerns with any storms that develop in the Southern Plains today. The highest potential for large hail and isolated tornadoes is in the Moderate Risk area.
Flooding concerns will continue to increase for parts of Oklahoma and Texas today and tomorrow. Some spots could pick up over 6″ of rainfall in the coming days. Flash Flood Watches are in effect from central Oklahoma south into northeast Texas, including both the OKC and Dallas/Fort Worth metro areas.
