First Hurricane of 2020 Eastern Pacific Season Forms
Douglas has become the first hurricane of the 2020 Eastern Pacific Season.
The hurricane is sitting about 1,500 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. Its present movement is west at about 15 mph.
Douglas’s maximum sustained winds are around 75 mph. Additional strengthening is expected over the coming days.
This system currently poses no threats to land.
