Severe Weather for Kansas and Missouri

An active afternoon of weather is ahead for parts of Kansas and Missouri. The SPC has issued an Enhanced Risk for Columbia, Joplin and Jefferson City in Missouri and the Emporia area in Kansas.

Storms will begin to develop later this afternoon and continue this evening. Very large hail and damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat. A few tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Multiple rounds of storms will be possible, so stay weather aware.
