5-18 Severe Weather Outlook

There is a high risk of severe weather today in parts of Kansas and Oklahoma. This risk area includes Wichita, Hutchinson, and Dodge City in Kansas and Enid, OK. Surrounding areas of these two states are in a Moderate risk.

A major severe weather outbreak is expected in these areas this afternoon and evening. All types of severe weather will be possible including damaging wind gusts, extremely large hail, and a few strong, long track tornadoes.

5-18 Tornado Outlook It is imperative that you have multiple ways to receive severe weather alerts if you live within today’s risk area. Storms will develop quickly.
